The realm of Fantasy Premier League is littered with terms and phrases with special meaning to FPL managers.
Here is some of our favorites:
Beware of the Bald Fraud
Of course Pep Guardiola is a top manager – statistics have proven so. But for FPL managers, the man can be a pain with his incessant tinkering of his starting XI. He rests players when you least expect him to and starts unknowns in unnatural positions.
The Vardy Party train started probably in the 2015/16 season when Leicester won the title but this season, the man went on another sensational scoring run and is currently the League’s top scorer.
(Th)Ings Are Going Great
Danny Ings’ career had been curtailed by series of injuries but this season he is on fire. He is currently only behind the Vardy Party on the goals charts and one of the reasons why the Saints are moving steadily up the table.
Lundstram was a little known Sheffield United player but this season he has taken FPL by storm. A midfielder listed as a defender in the game, he has amassed tonnes of points and currently is only behind 3 Liverpool defenders in terms of FPL points for a defender. His form has dipped a bit but his exploits in the first half of this season will enter FPL folklore.
Teemu Pukki also took FPL by storm this season with 6 goals in his first 5 Premier League appearances and had FPL managers very excited, his TSB going up to almost 40% at one stage. Norwich have since slowly drifted to the bottom of the table and Pukki’s form has subsided but he remains a potent threat in the Canaries’ attack.
Rate My Team
One of the favourite FPL phrases in social media. FPL managers post their own teams on different platforms and seek help from other managers.
Worth a Hit?
Like the phrase above, a very common phrase for FPL managers seeking help, asking for opinions on whether they should take a -4 that gameweek for additional transfers.
