Here are the 5 talking points ahead of FPL Gameweek 25
Mane (LIV, 12.3%, TSB 35.2%)
It would seem very unlikely that he will play in Gameweek 25. If you are thinking of getting rid of him, here are some of the options to consider.
- Salah (LIV, 12.5%, TSB 33.8%) – SOU, @NOR, WHU, @WAT, BOU
- Son (TOT, 9.9m, TSB 8.2%) – MCI, @AST, @CHE, WOL, @BUR
- Grealish (AST, 6.7m, TSB 24.6%) – @BOU, TOT, @SOU, Blank, @LEI
- Ward-Prowse, (SOU, 5.8m, TSB 1.7%) – @LIV, BUR, AST, @WHU, NEW
- Traore (WOL, 5.8m, TSB 19.5%) – @MUN, LEI, NOR, @TOT, BHA
With the conclusion of the League Cup semi-finals, we can confirm which are the games that will be affected in Gameweek 28. Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Manchester City vs Arsenal will have to be re-scheduled. These would mean that managers with popular players like KDB (MCI, 10.6m, TSB 52.2%), Lundstram (SHU, 5.1m, TSB 46.7%) will have to decide if they want to transfer out these players, or rely on their bench players for Gameweek 28.
Some managers have wildcarded, or are thinking if they should wildcard in Gameweek 25. We feel this is not a good week to wildcard, as there could be some late transfers happening which could affect the starting lineup. In addition, as mentioned earlier, teams like Arsenal and Sheffield who has favourable upcoming fixtures, faces a blank in Gameweek 28. This reduces the appeal of using the wildcard now to get in players like Henderson (SHU, 5.0m, TSB 12.3%), Fleck (SHU, 5.0m, TSB 5.2%), Aubameyang (ARS, 10.7m, TSB 14.3%), Aguero (MCI, 12.0m, TSB 22.3%).
Lundstram (SHU, 5.1m, 46.7%)
So he lost his starting place in the last league game. Given that most managers have a lot of value tied up in him, we advise to monitor for one more game and see if he starts against Palace. If he continue to be benched, we can then move for other Sheffield United defenders given their upcoming fixtures (@PAL, BOU, BHA, Blank, NOR)

The most important question – Who to captain for Gameweek 25
After his 14 point haul against West Ham, we suspect Salah (LIV, 12.5%, TSB 33.8%) will be highly captained. Other candidates include KDB (MCI, 10.6m, TSB 52.2%) in an away game at Tottenham. We feel Vardy (LEI, 9.9m, TSB 42.3%) could be a viable option this week, facing a very inconsistent Chelsea side in the last 6 games (W2 D2 L2). Some managers will also be tempted by Aguero (MCI, 12.0m, TSB 22.3%) who has 6 goals and 1 assist in his last 3 games. But we think there is a high chance that Jesus (MCI, 9.5m, TSB 3.0%) will start this gameweek ahead of Aguero.
That’s all for now and good luck for Gameweek 25!
