FPL GW26 Captain Picks

FPL GW26 captains

This week we take on our mates at AllaboutFPL for our Captains’ challenge. Each of us would pick 3 different captains and the one with most points at the end of the game week wins!

FF Titans’ Picks

Sergio Aguero (v WHU)

Man City take on West Ham in what looks like a straightforward game on paper. City of course won this tie by 5-0 in the reverse leg and Sterling bagged a hat-trick in that game. ity of course lost their last game 2-0 at Spurs, but this season, they have won every fixture which followed a defeat so far.

Besides blanking in that Spurs defeat, Aguero is on fire, scoring 6 goals in his last 4 games. He also has 10 career goals against the Hammers. KDB would be a good choice as well but we pick Aguero for his abilities to score many goals in this fixture

Mo Salah (@ NOR)

It’s top vs bottom here and very few brave souls would back Norwich to get anything from this game against a flying Liverpool side. Norwich has 13 games to save themselves and this game is probably not as important as the other 12.

Without Sadio Mane out, Salah and Firmino will be the key men for the team’s attack, with Origi likely to make up the front there. Salah has averaged around 15 FPL points per game over the past 2 games, poignant because Mane missed those 2 games. The Egyptian’s form has seen him move to the top of the FPL scoring charts and we back him to have another haul of goals against the Canaries

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (v CRY)

This match pits one of the most in-form teams in the league against one of the most off-form. Palace have not won in 6 and look set to struggle here against the Toffees.

Calvert-Lewin gets our nod because of his tremendous ascendancy under Ancelotti. He has 4 goals in his last 6 games and is always an aerial threat in the Everton attack.

All About FPL’s Picks

Sergio Aguero (v WHU)

Aguero was unlucky not to score against Spurs and will be looking to go all guns blazing against a west ham defense who conceded three goals against Brighton last week. This FPL GW 26 fixture is the repeat of GW 1 where city scored 5 goals. Aguero likes scoring against the hammers having registered 10 goals against the west London team in PL. City have scored a whopping 28 goals in the last 8 games against west ham and will look to come back strongly following a defeat to spurs in GW 25.

Danny Ings (v BUR)

Danny Ings has been in sensational form over the last couple of months with the Southampton forward already scoring 14 goals so far this season. Ings is up against a Burnley side who have kept three consecutive CS against Arsenal, Man United and Leicester. But an underlying stat is that Burnley have conceded the most shots in the last four games and have been helped to clean sheets thanks to Pope’s brilliance and some extremely poor finishing. Meanwhile, ings looked lively against Liverpool and scored midweek against Spurs and would be looking to continue to bag a couple of goals against his former club.

Troy Deeney (@ BHA)

Deeney has been a revelation ever since Nigel Pearson took over and is up against Brighton who have won once in their last 10 games and have only kept 1 clean sheet in their last 14 games and yet to register a victory in 2020 making Deeney is still owned by just 2.3% managers making him a solid differential captain option and also doesn’t blank in GW 28 bad GW 31.
