FPL GW38+ Must-have Players
Historically, the last GW of the season have produced some crazy results. Remember Middlesbrough beating Manchester City 8-1? Or Man Utd holding WBA to a 5-5 draw? These games were played on the last game week of the season.
We will not be able to predict which of the 10 FPL GW38+ fixtures will produce such results but we have a list of players who are “must haves”. Whether you are playing a Free Hit or otherwise, consider these 5 players.
David Silva (MCI | 7.5) vNOR
We all know that it’s anyone’s guess how Pep will line City up for their dead rudder against Norwich. City still have the UEFA Champions League to come in Aug and they will get about 2 weeks of rest. However, David Silva (or Dilva to FPL managers) is likely to be the top of his selection list, for the Spaniard maestro will play his last Premier League game for Man City. In all likelihood, Dilva will start as captain, play for at least 70 minutes and get a “standing ovation” from the players and coaching stuff. He was also rested in the previous match in GW37+.
Sentiments aside, Dilva is always good for a goal or assist, he recorded 2 goals and 3 assists in his last 2 home games.
PE Aubameyang (ARS | 10.9) vWAT
Aubameyang is on 20 goals and only a hattrick can bring him to tie with Vardy at 23. It may sound a bridge too far but let’s not forget Watford were all over the place in their last match against City.
Arsenal have a good home record in 2020 and Arsenal will want to win this as they build up to their FA Cup Final. Let’s not forget, should Arsenal get a spot kick, Aubameyang will surely be the one to take it.
Danny Ings (SOU | 7.6) vSHU
Ings is on 21 goals and will need at least 2 goals to match Vardy. Let Aubameyang, he is now the penalty taker for his side, even though he missed his last against Bournemouth.
Nick Pope (BUR | 5.1) vBHA
It will be a straight fight between Pope (Home to BHA) and Ederson (Home to NOR) for the 2020 Golden Glove, who both currently have 15 clean sheets. It would cap a fantastic campaign if Pope can win his first ever Golden Glove.
Michail Antonio (WHU | 7.1) vAVL
No one has scored more than Antonio (8) since the restart. Villa need a result to stay up but they have been particularly porous away from home.
Antonio is now a center forward under the guise of a midfielder in FPL. Take advantage of this anomaly for one last time this season!
