UCL Fantasy MD4 Injuries
We look at the some of the major absentees for MD4 of UCL Fantasy. Reminder: remember to use manual substitutions after Tuesdays’ games to ensure that you have a fighting fit XI!
Premier League
Chelsea
The Blues go into MD4 relatively 100%, only missing Pulisic, who will be out until December.
Liverpool
The Reds’ injury woes are well publicised.
They are definitely missing Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gomez, Keita, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk and Shaqiri. Skipper Henderson is all definitely out. Alexander-Arnold is currently the top scoring defender in UCL Fantasy so he will be a huge miss.
On the doubtful list are Salah, Rhys Williams and Thiago. Salah is only just back in training after a 10plus day layoff; this game may be too soon to rush in Thiago also.
Manchester City
Ake is a long term absentee for City, who otherwise looks injury-free and settled.
Mendy and Fernandinho are doubtful but neither are definite starters even when 100%.
Manchester United
Shaw and Jones are definitely out.
Pogba and Lingard are doubtful but neither are seriously considered in UCL Fantasy.
Bundesliga
Bayern Munich
The European Champions are facing a lengthy injury list to their top players.
Davies and Kimmich are both out until at least 2021. Both are popular picks in UCL Fantasy so do take note!
Tolisso and Hernandez are also definitely out for MD4.
Borussia Dortmund
No major concern except for Delaney, who will be out for 1 more month.
Borussia Moenchengladbach
The game’s top scoring forward Plea is out because of COVID-19. Bensebaini, the game’s 4th highest scorer with 25 pts, is also out.
RB Leipzig
Leipzig are missing Hartmann, Hwang, Laimer, Klostermann and Halstenberg as they visit PSG, knowing that a win there can possibly secure qualification.
La Liga
Atletico Madrid
Herrara and Vrsalijko are long term absentees and are unlikely to return for the Group Stages.
Suarez and Torreira both are COVID-19 positive and unlikely to be fit enough for MD4 but do keep tabs on the latest n this duo.
Barcelona
Barcelona have key players missing.
Pique, Roberto and Busquets are regular starters and will all miss MD4.
Teenage superstar Fati is also out until next year.
Messi and de Jong, while not injured, are already confirmed by the club to miss MD4, as the the club indicated the desire to rest the duo.
Real Madrid
Ramos is out and will be a huge miss for Real.
Odriozola, Valverde and Jovic will all miss MD4 through injuries or COVID.
Casemiro, however, is passed fit and should start.
Sevilla
GK Bounou and Luna are out because of COVID. Acuna and Suso are also long-term absentees.
Serie A
Atalanta
Malinovsky (COVID) and Caldara are out for their trip to Liverpool on MD4.
Inter

Juventus
Ramsey is a long term absentee.
Key center-backs Chiellini and Bonucci are currently doubtful, worth keeping tabs.
Lazio
Milinkovic-Savic is out because of COVID. Reserve GK Proto is out long-term; Reina is likely to be the number one (Lazio is currently unbeaten with Reina between the sticks)
Ligue 1
Marseille
The southern French side is currently 100% in strength, a rarity in these days. Their league game over the weekend was postponed because of a COVID outbreak with their opponents, Nice.
They have however, lost all their Champions League games to date without scoring. They need to beat Porto at home here to stand any chance of avoiding elimination.
PSG
PSG is another club missing a host of key players.
Gueye is out because of hamstring but he is anyways suspended for MD4.
Bernat, Draxler and Kehrer are long term absentees and Icardi is not likely to make it for MD4 due to a knee injury.
Veratti and Herrara are both doubtful.
Rennes
Rennes faces a tough game against Chelsea with Rugani and Martin out.
Others
Ajax
After a COVID outbreak on MD3, Ajax are only currently missing two players – Antony and Kudus.
Porto
Mbaye is out long term; Pepe and Marcano are listed as currently doubtful.
Club Brugge
Dennis is dropped for disciplinary reasons, there are no official details but apparently it was because he was unhappy about not able to sit where he wanted on the team bus.
