FPL Cup Update
For the majority of FPL managers, FPL Cup is but a distant memory, after elimination in the earlier rounds.
However, for 8,096 FPL managers (~0.1% of the game), the Cup dreams is still alive as at GW26. This means that 99.9% of the managers are already no longer in contention!
We look at a few teams and their Cup adventure so far.

With UK opening up, the first two items on the Prize list appears to be something to look forward to.
Earth wind and maguire (Pete Richards) (team id:139778)
One team bossing the the FPL Cup to date is Pete’s Earth win and maguire. The Manchester United fan has a current OR of 2,805 and holds a 4pt lead over his Cup opponent. He is currently on a TC on Kane, while his opponent captained Sterling who have yet to make an appearance on GW26 at time of writing.
Pete has navigated the Cup with relatively ease thus after. He had a 7pt win over his opponent on GW18 and 4pt win on GW23 but had otherwise won by double-digit margins.
Definitely a team among the favourites for this competition – we will be keeping an eye on him!
Επιστήμων (Nikos Papagiannopoulos) (team id:611301)
Leeds fan Nikos is also still in the Cup.
His current OR is in 75K and he has endured a more nerve-wrecking journey in his Cup run.
He started his first round (GW17) with a 4pt victory, following by a 2pt win in GW18 (which was a BGW). He must be thanking his lucky stars that he used his Free Hit on that gameweek and his opponent did not.
He is currently 6pts behind his Cup opponent but he has the TC chip activated on Kane and that may make all the difference this round.
Irriducibili (Ognjen Eric) (team id:4836104)
Ognjen from Serbia is facing an uphill task to progress, currently 11pts behind his cup opponent. Ironically, Ognjen’s OR is 32k, while his opponent is languishing at 750k!
Nonetheless, the Fulham fan from Serbia has done well (like every manager to reach this stage!) to get to this stage of the Cup. He won his first two ties (GW17 and GW18) by just 3pts!
Alternative Stats (Param Gupta) (team id:1019508)
Param (OR: 26K) is facing a very interesting battle on GW26 to progress. In the “India Derby”, his opponent’s OR is 13k and both have activated their TC this GW. Param has his chip on Kane, who is currently on 18 after his goal and his opponent has his/her TC on Bruno. Both Captains have 1 more match to play.
Param survived a scare on GW20, when he scraped through on fewer goals conceded after both teams finished with 32pts that gameweek (average = 42).
Bellingham 22 (Jason Johal) (team id:1303249)
Jason has one of the most interesting Cup journeys which we have seen so far.
His OR is 796K and he has survived not one, but two ties in his journey to date.
He drew 54-54 on GW20 and 79-79 pm GW25 only to win both ties by fewer goals conceded! He is currently leading by 13pts over an opponent whose OR is 1.3m
May his luck carry him through this competition!
