I’ll be giving Bamford (6.7) the armband this week. Sheffield United look devoid of confidence and so attack-minded Leeds could have a field day.

Kane (11.6) shall be my captain. Newcastle’s dismal form looks set to continue with Spurs the next to visit Tyne-Side. Spurs have been dumped out of all the competitions except of the Carabao Cup Final clash with Man city. The league is their only real hope of pushing for any European competition and they will look to start strong with a win against struggling Newcastle.

Kane (11.6) is the stand out option for me. With Son potentially back and no European football, Spurs will have to focus on getting a high league position. Newcastle are also desperate for points and will have to offer some kind attacking threat which will suit Tottenham on the counter. If Tottenham score first then this could be a big return for Kane.

This week is a classic sword and shield type of week.
The sword being the Raphinha pick and the shield being Bamford (who may particularly do well down the middle against a leaky Sheffield United) and even more so Kane who plays a struggling Newcastle side and who is topping most polls that I have seen. Here lies the conundrum, at time of writing I am drawn to a more boring Kane (11.6) pick but the devil in me wants to go with a Leeds asset, in the hope that owning Kane, Son and Bale is enough to at least protect.

Raphinha (5.7) for me. Leeds have taken 24 points from 27 against the bottom 7, and right now there is no opponent weaker than Sheff Utd – rock bottom and having just sacked the long-serving Chris Wilder.
Bamford would also be in strong consideration for me, but as a midfielder Raphinha has the potential for a more explosive return. Unlike Kane, both Bam and Raph have been fully rested over the International Break.

I am going to keep the captain armband on Raphinha (5.7) this week. An attacking Leeds against a Sheffield United side that look condemned to Championship football next season and also missing Chris Basham in defence.
Raphinha is the player that really makes Leeds tick.

My armband is currently on Raphinha (5.7). Sheffield United are currently top for xGC, Actual Goals Conceded and Big Chances Conceded so, for this week, a Leeds asset looks a good pick; plus Raphinha is the in the form of his life.
Harry Kane is a good alternative, but Leeds will play to beat Sheffield United 10-0, Mourinho will tighten things up if Spurs go 2-0 ahead which could limit Kane’s haul potential.
Our weekly columnist.
I am genuinely getting sick of these big name players.
Bruno didn’t play well in the international break, Harry Kane plays for Jose and I have recently dumped any plans for City.
Raphinha (5.7) will take the armband as a nice game against Sheffield United looks to provide the points.

It’s going to be another boring choice for me. Kane (11.6) looks like the stand out choice this gameweek again and sometimes, you just have to stop overthinking the captaincy choice.
