FPL GW30 Differentials
The international break is over and we can turn our attention back to FPL.
This break has been the total opposite of the standard boredom for me. It’s given me the time to just switch off from football, and I think I’m not alone in thinking like this. The over saturation of congested fixtures had left me feeling weary, and this break has given me the time to re-charge my batteries. Apart from checking the scores I’ve stayed away from football and indulged myself in some new series and cricket.
But we are here to talk about FPL, so let’s get to it.
I’ve selected three differentials for GW30.
Certain players have been mentioned previously, the likes of Raphinha and Lingaard, who are still relatively low owned and are great value options.
But I’m looking at players that could be on the radar in the next few weeks to help people chasing rank and mini-league crowns. As they say ‘ the early bird catches the worm’.
FPL GW30 Differentials – Marcos Alonso £5.7m
Next fixture WBA (h)
It wouldn’t be a season without an golden oldie returning.
Now given the rotation with Ben Chilwell this is a punt but with being rested over the International Break, I expect him to start. Nostalgia has played a part in picking this fantasy legend but with the opposition especially in the next two fixtures, he has the potential to return double digit figures. Primarily deployed when Chelsea face deep lying opposition, WBA are perfect opposition.
If you look at his average touch map and shots, you can see he his getting into advanced positions that offer attacking returns. Added in that he has free kicks in his locker, he certainly warrants the risk
FPL GW30 Differentials – Diogo Jota £6.7m
Next fixture ARS (a)
Having scored against Wolves in the last game week, Diogo Jota has followed this up with 3 goals for Portugal over the international break.
With Liverpool’s forward line misfiring in recent weeks, his return should see an upturn in Liverpool’s attacking potential.
Rotation maybe a concern with the Champions League game against Real Madrid a prime focus. I would however envisage Jurgen Klopp wanting to go into that game with confidence and will look to get a good result against Arsenal with the inform Jota. At 6.7m he is more than capable of returning alongside his more expensive teammates.
FPL GW30 Differentials – Callum Wilson £6.5m
Next fixture TOT (h)
I like looking at teams at this time of the season that have something to play for. No team has more to play for than Newcastle.
With the manager and club under serious threat of relegation, the next couple of fixtures are crucial before they enter a tough phase of games.
With Callum Wilson expected to be fit, I expect him to play a big part in the game, primarily because Steve Bruce is one game away from being sacked. Without Wilson, Newcastle have not won a game, he will be the difference between survival and relegation.
Throw in Saint Maximum being back in training and the attack is starting look promising again. Facing an unpredictable Tottenham side, Newcastle have the ammunition to cause them problems.
