FPL GW33 Differentials
It’s been a whirlwind of a week where a long-extended game-week has taken backstage to the news of the on and then off European Super League.
FF Titans ran a piece on the thoughts of our panel on this, and it has been unanimous in several aspects.
As with all fans, we as a group of contributors stand united against any form of action that takes away the principles of competing, dis-regarding the history of club’s and the community it serves. Owners have the money to keep the clubs running but the fans are the heartbeat, and without them it all stops.
While the dust settles, there is another game week to look at which has no Spurs or Man city assets, with both contesting the EFL Cup final. So, let’s see if we can find some super differentials to bring a bit of excitement to the game.
FPL GW33 Differentials #1 – James Maddison £7.2m
Next fixture Crystal Palace (h)
No Son. No Gundogan. No problem.
Step forward James Maddison.
Back after a lengthy injury lay off, he could be the catalyst to push Leicester to maintaining their top four position. The increasingly ever popular Iheanacho will benefit even more with the guile of Maddison behind him. Maddison himself bring more than just assist potential.
With 8 goals already, and a focus on playing closer to the goal, we can expect more returns on Leicester’s favourable fixtures.
This week up against a Crystal Palace, who are in a state of transition. With safety guaranteed, a manager whose future looks un-clear and players out of contract, this is a team to focus on. Ranked top for shots in the box conceded and 3rd for goals conceded, it’s set up perfectly for Leicester’s who are 2nd in goals scored in the last 4 matches.
FPL GW33 Differentials #2 – Timo Werner £9.2m
Next game West Ham (h)
No Kane. An injury to Lacazette and with DCL still out, who do you turn to? Super Timo Werner.
Yes, I know we have been all here before and some twice but hear me out.
Chelsea play a West ham side who are 2nd behind Sheff United for goals conceded in the last 4 matches. Injuries has started to have an effect on West Ham’s form.
This game is a 6 pointer for a top 4 place, but West Ham have several key defenders out in Cresswell, Masuaku and Dawson.
In midfield the loss of Declan Rice has a major impact on the space between the midfield and defence. The direct running of Saint-Maximim in the last match caused mayhem in the defence and I expect Werner to do the same against the ageing legs of Mark Noble.
FPL GW33 Differentials #3 – Lewis Dunk £4.9m
Next game Sheff United (a)
Brighton are one win away from safety and face Sheff Utd who are bottom for both goals scored and goals conceded.
Brighton have conceded the fewest goals in the last 4 games with includes an impressive clean sheet against Chelsea.
The rock at the heart of this defence in the captain Lewis Dunk and with only Zouma and out of position Dallas having scored more goals, he has the potential for returns at both ends of the pitch.
