Bruno Fernandes (11.6) tops my  metric at the time of writing and has one of the best FDR match ups on paper against a Leeds side who have conceded joint most penalties this year (9) along with Liverpool and WBA.

I do like the other United options in Rashford and Greenwood but the high EO swings it for me when trying to arrest my free fall of recent weeks.

It is Alexander-Arnold (7.5) for me. He has received maximum bonus points in each of his last 4 matches along with a goal and 2 assists. He has a point to prove to Gareth Southgate to make sure that he makes it into the Euros squad this summer and have Newcastle at home up next.

If Salah (12.6) wants that Golden Boot he needs to get back to his best and after starting from the bench in the last game I’m backing him to start and have a good game against Newcastle.

Mo Salah (12.6). Will definitely start after his benching against Leeds. Liverpool have had the most shots in the box in the last four games and are due a big score. Salah wants the golden boot so expect him to get a double digit return.

I’ve currently got the armband on Bruno Fernandes (11.6) , despite his recent dip in the form.

We all know what he is capable of and he will be playing against a very open Leeds side who concede a lot of penalties. The reverse fixture was an 8-goal thriller and there is no reason to suspect we won’t see more of the same. If I were chasing rank, I would consider Greenwood for skipper this week.

FPL GW30 Review

Kele(C)hi Iheanacho (6.1) for me this week. He is in the form of his life, playing for a team chasing top 4 (yes, it all sounds very familiar). Palace on the other hand have conceded 4 goals twice in the last 4, and have little to play for, 11 points ahead of 18th-placed Fulham with 2 games in hand.

It’s Alexander-Arnold (7.5) for me all day long.

Newcastle has conceded 9 goals in the last 5 matches and Trent has 2 assists and 1 goal in his last 3 games. Most importantly, not forgetting that Trent has got maximum bonus points in each of his last 4 games. Lastly, no other defender has been on the form he has with an average of 10.3 points

Liverpool no longer have anything else to play for so will concentrate on their challenge for the top 4. This is actually a good time to play Newcastle, whose recent form have gave them a gap from the bottom three.

We can expect Liverpool to go all out attacking and Mo Salah (12.6) is the most likely Liverpool player to return.

At this stage of the season, with Salah (12.6) still in the race for the golden boot, go for him as your captain given that he has just been given a rest for the previous game against Leeds.
