UCL Fantasy MD9 Differentials
Bernardo Silva (Man City) – 3%
Man City are now rotating freely after most of their players returned to fitness.
It is not easy to guess their starting XI against Dortmund but we can expect Silva to get some minutes – he had played in every of City’s games in the Champions League so far.
Thankfully City plays on a Tuesday so you can substitute him out if he does not get the minutes.
Benzema (Real Madrid) – 7%
Benzema is a player on fire at the moment. The Frenchman has 7 goals from his last 5 games. He also has 5 Champions League goals to date.
Benzema will fancy his chances against a makeshift backline.
Fabinho (Liverpool) – 3%
Liverpool appear to have found some stability in the backline of Kabak and Phillips, enabling Fabinbo to move back to his favourite defensive midfield position.
In terms of balls recovery, Fabinho ranks 5th of all the players still in the competition with 47.
On MD8 he registered 19 ball recoveries.
Definitely a strong differential to have for this stat alone.
Gnarby (Bayern) – 3%
With Lewandowski out, his owners will struggle to find a his replacement.
Gnarby came off the bench over the weekend so is a good bet to start against PSG on MD9.
Like Mount, he has yet to score in the Champions League but has 9 league goals and 3 assists.
Mount (Chelsea) – 3%
Chelsea crashed spectacularly over the weekend but one of the Chelsea players to find the net was Mount. The English midfielder’s influence on the team is growing, having in all but one of Chelsea’s league games to date.
Mount has yet to find the net in the Champions League but has 6 goals and 4 assists in the Premier League.
He came off the bench over the weekend so you would expect Tuchel to start him on MD9, especially after their collapse against WBA.
Sanusi (Porto) – 5%
Porto is a dark horse in the competition, having eliminated Ronaldo’s Juventus last round.
At left-back of Porto’s defence is Nigerian Sanusi, who has started every Champions League game to date.
Porto kept 5 clean sheet in the Group Stages and is expected to keep it very tight against Chelsea in the first leg here.
