Salah (12.7) for me. He’ll need to be at his best if he wants the Golden Boot and if Liverpool want to finish top 4.

Raphinha (5.4) for me. Leeds play against a fresh Burnley with Chris Wood on a hot streak, but the differential claxon is ringing after the Brazilian’s injury lowered his ownership and after my inspired Greenwood captaincy last week, hoping this one pays off as well.

Mo Salah (12.7) is my choice. Facing a WBA team low on morale, having just been relegated. WBA have the worst defence in the league and have conceded the 3rd most chances on their left flank.
They are also joint top for conceding penalties, which adds to Salah’s appeal, in his quest for the Golden Boot.

Mo Salah (12.7) (C). 4G1A in his last 5 starts, playing an already relegated WBA and with Liverpool having given themselves a real chance of stealing a Top 4 spot. You only need to see Salah’s celebration when he scored the last goal v Man United to see how much it meant to him, and that is exactly the desire I want in my FPL captain.

Jota (7.0). Based on my metric which tracks the performances of the last 12 games, Jota edges his teammates Salah and Mane. Jota also enjoyed a great outing against Man Utd where he found the net – he has my armband this week.

I am going for Mo Salah (12.7) . With Liverpool on the hunt for Champions League football through the top 4 and Salah on the hunt for the golden boot and a juicy looking game against already relegated West Brom, it does feels right. I did not own him until last night and before I did the armband was on Lucas Digne who could be a great differential if you are looking to gain rank or catch the leader of your mini league. On the back of 2 Clean sheets in DGW35, up next is a woeful Sheffield United, there could be returns at both ends of the pitch for Lucas Digne.

I’m going to play safe this week and go with Kane (11.8) . I feel I have been pushing my luck with not owning him and have just about got away with it so far. This week, I’m bringing him in and giving him the armband. Golden Boot will be firmly on his mind.

Kane/Salah/DCL. All 3 of them are eyeing the golden boot with 21/21/16 goals respectively.
The 2 with the most favorable fixtures are Salah & DCL. In the past few weeks, captains were mostly given to those facing Sheffield United but with West Brom now relegated as well, it seems most likely that Salah (12.7) will be the popular choice over DCL.
Same thing with Fernandes here, if you’re on top in your respective FPL table, then Salah should be the choice here as you wouldn’t want to miss out on the points since everyone will be captaining him. If you’re not top of the table then you Should pick DCL for differential unless you’re a Spurs fan.
Lord of … all things funny and wacky
It is hard to look beyond Salah (12.7) this GW. He has been consistently delivering over the past few GWs, even if not explosive. I expect Liverpool to win comfortably here at WBA to sustain their Top 4 chase.

Since his return from injury, Kane (11.8) has blanked in his last 2 league games. I fancy him to score against a Wolves who are already “on the beach”.
