For one last time this season, our FF Titan Panel gathers to make our captain picks – GW38.

The boring pick is clearly Salah (12.8) so if you are looking for a shield pick its fairly obvious.
If you are looking to make some gains my shortlist would be assets at home, Torres or Mahrez from Man City, Antonio (WHU) or Bamford (Lee). I am going to stick my neck out and say Ferran Torres will start and if he does (& I get a leak in time) I may well bring him in and put the armband on him.

Captain for GW 38 will easily be Salah (12.8). Liverpool need to win and Salah wants the Golden Boot. These two reasons alone will be enough for one to captain him.
If you do not own Salah, then the cheapest option to transfer in will have be Willock. He’s in the form of his life, scoring in his last 6 games and with Newcastle playing their final game against relegated Fulham, I fully expect him to get on the score sheet.

Salah (12.8) is the captain pick for me – Liverpool have the home crowd back and that will make a big difference. Chasing the Golden Boot against a Palace side who have conceded 5 goals in their last two games.

Captain will be Salah (12.8) again as he continues his hunt for the golden boot in a match Liverpool will be well up for now that top 4 qualification is in their hands.

The standout captaincy pick for the final gameweek has to be Mo Salah (12.8) . Liverpool have everything to play for and are in the process of making a monumental comeback to achieve Champions League qualification. They play a Crystal Palace who conceded seven goals in the reverse fixture.
I don’t own Mo Salah and am seriously contemplating going against my own rules and taking a hit to bring him in because I feel not doing so could be devastating.

Mo Salah (12.8) is the stand out captain for me this week with the destiny of top 4 and golden boot still hanging on his performance.
You have known me for my differential picks this season, so my differential pick for gw38 if you are chasing rank is Chris Wood. He has scored 12 goals this season and playing against a relegated Sheffield United side.

If you’re looking to hold rank, Salah (12.8) is the safe pick.
But if you’re chasing and need a big haul on final day, look no further than Chris Wood v Sheffield United, who conceded 16 shots v Newcastle and have the worst xGC of any team since GW20. Wood himself is 4th for npxG since GW26 and with Ashley Barnes possibly not available, on pens. Is it risky? Sure. But if you’re chasing, why not.

It’s simply impossible to overlook Salah in GW38. He’s after the Golden Boot and his team needs all three points and decent goal difference.
However, I’ll go for a differential option in Sadio Mane (11.7). He has scored 10 times in 12 matches against Crystal Palace. He’s probably the fun pick that comes with a risk as Salah’s effective ownership will be high, but the rewards can be worth the punt.

If you are in a comfortable place in your mini-leagues then Salah (12.8) should be a safe and comfortable choice – his Effective Ownership is expected to be high.
If you are keen to take a differential – try Dallas or Bamford. Leeds are in great form and will love to end this season on a end – against a hapless WBA side.

Playing at home with fans and needing a win to secure Champions League football, Salah (12.8) is the man to captain for this final gameweek of the season.
