FPL Player of the Season
As the season draws to an end, our FF Titan Panel comes together to share their own FPL Player of the Season.
There are no rules or guidelines here – everyone is picking their personal favourite!

Player of the year for me has to be Harry Kane. He has amassed (at time of writing) 232 Pts (6.97 Ptr/90) and having quite crazy season stats for goals involvement , Xg 0.58 / 90, Xa 0.32 / 90 all whilst playing most of the season for Mourinho in what is clearly a pretty average side!

Player of the season for me would be Emiliano Martinez. We already knew of his quality when he played the final few games for Arsenal last season.
Upon purchase this season, Aston Villa fielded him as their first choice goalkeeper and he did not disappoint. 37 games played. 15 clean sheets. And only 45 goals conceded. That speaks volumes of his ability.
He has helped the Villains climb up the table into a respectable 11th position thus far this season with one game remaining. Selected by 38.5% of owners, he has recorded 27 bonus points and his price has risen from 4.5 to 5.4 thus far, as well as amassing a total of 183 points Martinez is on course to being the highest scoring goalkeeper in FPL history.
Currently behind the one and only Brad Friedel (187 points in Fpl season 02/03), Martinez needs just 4 points from the final game of the season.
With Aston Villa welcoming Chelsea to Villa Park in the penultimate game which will be played in front of their home fans for the first time this season, expect Martinez to be a thorn in their side and deny Chelsea every chance to score as he aims for the number one spot in the history of goalkeepers.

Player of the season for FPL is Dallas. 169 points – 8 goals and 3 assists from a 4.5m defender, he pulling numbers usually associated with 6m+ defenders. He must be the one of the best 4.5m assets in FPL history.
On human touch – Alisson is my other player of the year. To lose your father, not be able to go back to Brazil for the funeral. Continue playing in a team that has been struggling. Made a few mistakes and he could have asked for time away from the game. But he shows inner strength to continue and gets one of the most important goals for Liverpool this year. Top guy!

As for my player of the year, I’m gonna have to give it to one of the bargain over performers of the season.
Whilst Dallas, Gundogan and Antonio played their part in improving my overall rank, I didn’t own any from week one so my vote goes to James Justin. Whilst he played less than two-thirds of the season before his serious injury he still got 101 points for £4.5m and few jumped on the bandwagon as many felt he would lose his place in the team when all defenders were fit. Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Player of the season for me is James Justin. I owned him since GW1, and he stayed in my team until GW24 when he picked up his long term injury. A player who started out as cover for Ricardo Pereira, Justin soon became a key part of Brendan Rodger’s plans, bagging clean and sheets and attacking returns.
With a starting price of £4.5m, Justin provided unbelievable value for two thirds of the season.

My player of the season is Emi Martinez. He really has been a magnet for bonus points and also got a lot of save points that even if he hasn’t kept a clean sheet, he has still scored highly.
He currently has the joint most points in FPL for a goalkeeper with Petr Cech. There could be some difficult decisions to make next season when his price is revealed.

My favourite player this season has to be Emi Martínez. It’s weird to go for a GK but he was so influential many a time. Only 5 outfield players have scored more points than him. His confidence was on a high virtual the whole season. He will be remembered as one of the most exciting fantasy goalkeepers.

My favourite FPL player of the season is Patrick Bamford.
He started the season at 5.5 and many, like myself, thought that there is no chance he would make it in the Premier League at age 27 having floated around lower league clubs in much of his early career. With Leeds signing Rodrigo for £27m, Bamford’s chances of starting regularly in the Premier League appears more remote.
Suffice to say, he has taken many by surprise. His price had risen to as high as 6.9 at one stage and at time of writing, he has been involved in 27 goals (16 goals | 11 assists) for a Leeds side which has won over a lot of fans this season.
Over and above his FPL stats, the man himself is a FPL manager himself and has taken a fantastic take around the hoo-hah around the European Super League.
